It’s not difficult to find recipes from countless other apple cider enthusiasts around the web, and compiled here are three simple and delicious treats that feature one of autumn’s most beloved flavors.

Apple Cider Donuts (Vegan and Gluten-Free) – Minimalist Baker


¼ cup aquafaba (the liquid drained from a can of chickpeas)

¼ cup oil (coconut, avocado, or other)

⅓ cup sugar

¼ cup maple syrup or agave nectar

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp sea salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Pinch ground ginger

Pinch ground nutmeg

⅓ unsweetened applesauce or apple butter

½ apple cider

1 ½ cups almond flour

1 heaping cup gluten-free flour blend

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda


3 tbsp melted plant-based butter or coconut oil

3 tbsp sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease two six-slot donut pans.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, mix aquafaba with a whisk or mixer until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix oil, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sea salt, ginger, and nutmeg. Whisk until combined, add applesauce and apple cider, and whisk again to combine.
  4. Add both flours, baking powder, and baking soda to mixture in large bowl. Whisk to combine, and then add aquafaba and gently fold it into the mix.
  5. Divide batter into donut pans; there should be 11-12 donuts. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Once donuts are cooled, brush with melted vegan butter and dip in cinnamon sugar mix.

Soft Apple Cider Cookies (Vegan) – Killer Bunnies, Inc.


2 tbsp ground flaxseed

¼ cup water

1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

½ cup margarine, softened

½ cup apple cider

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

2 medium apples, peeled and diced

¾ cup chopped almonds


1 cup confectioner’s sugar

2 tbsp apple cider

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, add flaxseed and water. Let sit for five minutes to gel. Add brown sugar and combine.
  3. Beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed, and then beat in cider.
  4. Blend in flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir in apples and almonds.
  5. Distribute dough by tablespoon on baking sheet(s).
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool, and glaze.

Sparkling Cider Pound Cake- Taste of Home


¾ butter, softened

1 ½ cups sugar

3 large eggs

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup sparkling apple cider


¾ cup confectioner’s sugar

3-4 tsp sparkling apple cider

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line bottom of grease 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment, and grease parchment.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5-7 minutes.) Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt; at to creamed mix alternately with cider, beating well after each addition.
  3. Transfer batter to the pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before removing and allowing to cool completely.
  4. In a small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Spoon on top of cake, allowing it to flow over sides.
